Here are a few poems to give you a taste, don't forget to look at my humorous poems and children's poetry too.
Daisy
There are many who would try to stamp me out,
pull up my roots, leave nothing where I stood,
put out my eyes and stop my voice, but then
others invite me to their neighbourhood.
Those plotting my demise will soon discover
the task is not as easy as they'd wish
because the more they censor and put down,
the more I'll fight back – will not relinquish
my hard won place. Determined, when suppressed
I'll force my way through concrete to the light.
But in those places I'm allowed free reign
I blossom like a Michaelmas, or might
spread like nursery rhymes on children's lips.
A subversive flower, the daisy, it slips
straight into our subconscious minds unmarked
reminding us of images it sparked.

Flowers of Youth
The scarlet pimpernel
lurked in every hedgerow.
Eyebright scoured
the verges for him.
‘Forget me not’
was whispered
from secret locations.
A shepherds purse
could not pay
the ransom.
Toungeless bells
tinkled silently
in the woodlands
as lilies wept
in the valley.
